Here are the updates to the Lede platform for mid-February 2023.
Updates to the Homepage
- Post Grid Enhancements
- The Post Grid now allows you to target which spot(s) to curate in the grid. Non-curated spots will continue to autofill in reverse chronological order.
- For more information on updated Post Grid capabilities, check out this update!
- Comment count displays (if comment count is greater than 0) on the Featured Post.
- A post being featured in the Comment of the Day block no longer causes that post to not appear in other locations on the Homepage.
Updates to Tags
- Tags on articles display in all capital letters.
- Tag titles on tag archive pages also display in all capital letters.
Updates to the Post Blocks
- The iFrame block has been enabled.
- The Audio block has been enabled.
- The Video block now respects the alignment option chosen in the editor.
- Quote blocks now display correctly (with a line next to the entire block) when used with: caption links, lists (ordered & unordered), and multiple paragraphs.
Updates to the Accounts page
- Special characters are now permitted in passwords.
- The sign-in email now encourages users to set a password for their account.
Updates to Commenting
- Logged-in users can now reliably comment without appearing to become logged out when they interact with the Coral embed.
- The Coral embed now loads when the user scrolls to that section of an article, keeping the scrollbar a more reliable indicator of the length of the article itself.
- Ctrl (Control) + click now behaves in a consistent manner on PCs to open all link types in a new tab.
