Here are the January 2023 updates for the Lede Platform:
- Login cookie has been extended to 90 days which will prevent users from being signed out when they close their browser session.
- When logging in, the “Enter password” button will only display when a user has a password set.
- Avatar and Password tips added to the “My Account” page to provide helpful information for common issues users may encounter.
- If an author doesn’t have an image for their avatar, their initials will instead display in post lists and on articles.
- Timestamps on articles now display at the posted time in the timezone configured in the WordPress Admin, regardless of the timezone of the person viewing the article.
- The “Video” block is now available for use in articles. Here are a few things to know about this new feature in its first stage:
- All of the videos will be content width. Left, right, full, wide alignments will not work.
- Unlike images, captions for videos entered into the editor will display, but captions entered in the media item caption field will not display.

- Inline images no longer appear as superscript in articles.

- SendGrid
- Additional metadata is now being synced to SendGrid for your users including customer status, donor, order cancel on expiration, order expiration, order interval, and product name. You can set up segments in SendGrid to target specific users based on these new fields.
